Rock Springs offers a variety of recreational and outdoor opportunities. Scheduled activities feature qualified instructors who cover safety and technique. A selection of sports equipment is available for sports and independent activities. Self-guided tours and nature walks are also offered.

Rock Springs has four historic buildings available for self-guided tours: Ranch House Features more than 200 antique furnishing items with a functioning water wheel. Guided tours available upon request from June to August 15.
Green Valley Country School Built in 1887. One-room school with furnishings moved from Marshall County.
Parallel Country Church Built in 1885. Church moved from Clay County.
Draft-Horse Barn 1800s 12-stall horse barn moved from Mitchell County.
Rock Springs has many natural, out-door attractions including: Nature Trails Offers a quiet stroll or simple relaxation through the natural prairies and woods. Include the Dorothy Griffin Akin Wildflower Walk, the Flint Hills Forest Trail and the handicap-accessible Texaco Nature Trail.
Memorial Tree Walks
View unusual and beautiful specimen trees.
Creates a living memorial to a broad collection of Rock Springs friends.
Kansas Native Plant Garden Located outside the Flint Hills Building. Educational focus on native grasses and wildflowers. Encourages native plant conservation and suggests an alternative to cultivated flowers.
Tennis, basketball and volleyball are only a few of the recreational opportunities at Rock Springs.

In Rock Springs' low-ropes leadership adventure course, participants improves group dynamics by providing a non-competitive program.
